We put the iconic K-beauty-inspired brand to the test.

Previously a hard-to-find novelty,
Korean (or K-beauty) beauty is now available as a drugstore staple. You can
thank Glow Recipe for that. While today best known for its fruity skincare
products and clean spirit, the brand has solidified itself by creating a market
for Americans to buy the very best that Korea has to offer. Now the company is
focusing solely on its skincare lineup, taking the philosophy of the Korean
skincare routine and distilling it into fewer steps that are easy to follow and
fun to use.
To say Glow Recipe has been a huge hit
would be an understatement. It's loved by bloggers and publishers, and one of
its Watermelon Glow sleeping masks is sold out every three minutes. In addition
to having some of the best smelling products, the brand also doesn't use
parabens, SLS, SLES, phthalates, or mineral oils, among other things. Add the
Instagram taste packaging and the fact that no product goes over $50, and it's
no wonder Glow Recipe is one of the
brands we get asked a lot.
We had Glamor editors, from obsessed fans
to novices, put the entire streak to the test. Scroll down to see our honest
reviews of the best Glow Recipe products.

Watermelon
Glow Recipe + AHA Glowing Sleeping Mask
I'm not usually a big fan of
sweet-smelling beauty products, but it's really impossible not to love the
scent of the Glow Recipe's watermelon line. (It smells like a Jolly Rancher
watermelon!) And if there's only one product you have to try, it's this
massive, gently exfoliating overnight mask, which placed a waiting list of
5,000 at Sephora after its first launch (and a Glamor Beauty Award in our
Readers' Choice category). That's how powerful word of mouth is in this gem.
The sleeping mask's words might make you think of a thick night cream, but the
consistency is a lot like a gel that instantly sinks into your skin. I apply it
before bed, let my blend of amino acid-rich watermelon extract, hyaluronic
acid, and light alpha hydroxy acids work, and wake up with noticeably more
hydrated skin. —Lindsey Shalon, Contributor
