Brandy is
back in the 90's! Well, something like that. In the long-awaited new drama,
Queens, which opens Tuesday, October 19, the singer-actress plays Naomi, a
member of the fictional '90s hip-hop group Nasty B * tches trying to reclaim
her place in the current industry. . It's an ambitious series set in both time
periods, with some lavish locations and great performances. (When you have Eve,
Naturi Naughton and Nadine Velazquez as your employees, you will be great.)
Brandy told
me from her hotel room in Atlanta, "Music is my love, so being part of a
show where you can sing, dance, rap and act ... It was very interesting."
"And then when I read the script, it was turning the page. I cried and
laughed and talked a lot about the ups and downs of this industry and how
sometimes you feel like having it and then I don't feel it. I was like, 'Oh my
God, I have to be a part of this. '
=To revisit
the '90s alter-ego named Xplicit Lyrics on stage, Brandy teamed up with the Queens
hair and makeup team to find the right look. "I loved having the
opportunity to recreate the braids and then do something different like Naomi
[for the moment]."
Her
hairstyles aside, the 42-year-old doesn't look much different than hers and me
from her 20-year-old, and she credits her constant skincare routine that she
started little. to little. "I've worked on my skin my whole life. I used
to go to a lot of different dermatologists because I had eczema at one
point," she says. "Now I have found my rhythm and products that
really work for my skin." She says IV therapy, also known as vitamin
therapy, has worked wonders on her skin, like taking biotin regularly to
strengthen her hair and nails.

But only
recently did IV therapy begin. If you really want to know which skin care
product is betting on it, point out the Natura Bissé line (not a spokesperson,
FYI). “You know the saying, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it. "So that's
the way I see it."
And she is
right. While Brandi is putting on makeup for her Zoom interview, I also can't
help staring at her gorgeous skin that is lit from within (and we all know
hotel lighting is never great). So what products are you sworn to? She posts
all of that and more in the latest issue of Glamor, Drop the Routine.
my
cleaner
I use Deluxe
Diamond White Rich Cleanse and Diamond Cocoon Daily Cleanse from Natura Bisse.
These are my two favorites for my dry skin, and I love that the cleanser is so
creamy. I feel like I'm putting lotion on my face, but I'm not. It cleanses my
skin but also hydrates it at the same time.
