Hello beauty lovers! I was going to bring you a great intro to the movie preview like (the rom-com voiceover) "It's the hottest thing in the beauty scene since waterproof mascara ... or at least you like it think that 'but then I thought' Hey Ladies' Simple can also work. I'll start with the game of meeting you, and then you'll get in ... k?

I'm from the great state of Texas (a small town in East Texas called Marshall to be exact) and I had dreamed of living in New York for most of my teenage life. After finishing college, I packed my bags and headed to the Big Apple to pursue a publishing career. Originally looking for whatever writing job I could get, I somehow fell into the glamorous world of inaugural beauty (starting with Women's Wear Daily) and never looked back. I'm obsessed with all things hair (so don't be afraid to wonder why your hair looks (or acts) a certain way); skin (let's say I take tests and reports on the effectiveness of skin care products very seriously); and cosmetics (I was hoarding lip gloss and black eyeliner as it was thought to be the end of the world).

In my spare time, I enjoy writing for my amazing fashion and beauty blog, The Glamazons; read good books, have fun conversations with strangers; cosmetic product testing; Dance and travel. I'll be here while beautiful Petra is on maternity leave, so if there's anything else you want to know about me, don't be afraid to ask!

This is me: And you? Where are you from? What is the beauty of your pet that bothers you? What is the first beauty product you use in the morning and the last product you use at night? (I can't live without eye cream! My best right now is Darphin Wrinkle Corrective Eye Contour Cream because it soothes and hydrates my eye area. It's like a small bottle of "ahhhhh"). __
